A very impressive example of the McLaren P1 has been recently taken to the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium where it was unleashed.
The McLaren P1 may have been officially introduced, in its final production form, back in March 2013, during the Geneva Motor Show, but its appearance still keeps our news. The newest video with the impressive hybrid supercar is coming from the Spa Francorchamps race track in Belgium, where the model was brought to take part in the Pure McLaren track day. The clip posted below is showing the P1 lapping the circuit, so if you would like to see it in action, scroll down and click the play button.
McLaren has added a 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo petrol engine under the hood of the P1, which is backed up by an electric motor. The internal combustion engine is bringing 727 HP (542 kW) and 719 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque, while the electric unit is generating 176 HP (131 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The total output produced stands at 903 HP and 978 Nm (722 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 2.8 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
