“I’ve never driven anything that accelerates so fast! In the lower gears, a Formula 1 car doesn’t deliver maximum power. With the Peugeot, though, it’s bang, bang, bang as you move up the box from standstill. Thanks to its four-wheel drive transmission and turbocharged engine, its pull-away performance is phenomenal! You find yourself in sixth gear at 240kph in no time at all!”, said Sebastien Loeb.

The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak is powered by a 3.2 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which is producing 875 HP (652 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 1.8 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.8 seconds and from 0 to 240 km/h (149 mph) in 7 seconds.
