And while we’re used to seeing dispensers everywhere selling anything from food and beverages to books, this time around we’re dealing with the world’s biggest luxury “vending machine.”
There are impressive car shows around the world – many catering to highly affluent regions such as Dubai and also having to do with the most expensive names out there – Bugatti, Rolls-Royce and others alike. But this is something else entirely – it’s something you would expect to see in the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, when they decided to also hit Singapore. It’s a rather archetypal tower, but instead of offices or loggings you get to see every floor stacked with supercar and luxury cars. It’s a 15-floor, 60-slot showroom that was just inaugurated and is featured as the “world’s largest luxury car vending machine.” Local dealer Autobahn Motors, who deals with luxury, sports, exotic, and supercars is the author of this interesting feat.
“We needed to meet our requirement of storing a lot of cars. At the same time, we wanted to be creative and innovative,” said Gary Hong, general manager at Autobahn Motors. And the fun fact is it actually functions exactly like a real vending machine – buyers have a touchscreen display on the ground and can select the desired car that will appear in one to two minutes. This is thanks to the building’s Automotive Inventory Management System – full developed in-house, with others now interested in acquiring it for other uses, such as parking spaces.
