The new generation of the BMW M3 has been recently tested on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
The German based automaker BMW is getting busy these months and besides creating new models, it’s also trying to update the upcoming M3. The powerful four-door sedan has been spied recently in action, while it was being tested on the Nurburgring. The 2015 M3 in the video posted below has been heavily camouflaged but you can still see some of its lines and, most importantly, you can hear it in action, thanks to that great exhaust sound.
The 2015 BMW M3 will weigh approximately 100 kg less than the outgoing version, thanks to the use of lightweight materials. The model will be powered by a 3.0 liter six-cylinder twin turbo engine, which will produce a total output of 450 HP, 30 HP more than the current 4.0L V8. The torque figure will stand at 550 Nm, 150 Nm more, available from 2,000 rpm. The configuration will be enough to allow the new BMW M3 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The new M3 is expected to debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, along with the M4 Coupe.
