The very first video with the brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray pace car, shown in action at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, has been recently released by the carmaker.
The footage posted below is showing Mark Reuss, the North American General Motors president, behind the wheel in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray pace car, at Belle Isle. The company’s official is praising the vehicle and he drove it last weekend, during the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit. As a quick reminder, the Corvette in question is getting Indianapolis 500 decals and other graphics on its Laguna Blue finished body. The model has been fitted with the Z51 Performance Package, adding the electronic limited-slip differential, differential and transmission cooling, dry-sump oil system, new upgraded brakes and an aerodynamic package. Power to the model is still being provided by the 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is good for 460 HP (343 kW) and 465 lb-ft of torque (630 Nm). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes less than 4 seconds.
