The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been recently taken for a lap round the famous German track, the Nurburgring, and the full “experience” can be seen in the video posted below.
After it was officially unveiled back in 2013 and then brought to a lot of automotive events, across the globe, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a video which is showing it lapping the Nurburgring, during a track day from Gran Turismo Events. Keep in mind that the American based automaker hasn’t provided an official time around the “Green Hell” for the new sports car. You can check out the clip below, right after the jump.
The seventh generation of the Chevrolet Corvette (C7) has been in development since 2007 but it was finally released for the 2014 model year, with its front engine and rear-wheel drive layout, which were chosen to keep production costs lower. The sports car is using a 6.2 liter V8 LT1 engine, which is developing a total output of 455 HP (339 kW) or 460 HP (340 kW) with the optional performance exhaust system. The weight of the new Corvette stands at 1,562 kg (3,444 lb).
