The first video with the new generation of the Dacia Sandero being crash tested by Euro NCAP has recently hit the web, and it shows us what’s happening to the car in case of an impact.
After it was officially presented to the public back in 2012, during the Paris Motor Show, and then making its way to a lot of markets across the Old Continent, and not only, the new generation of the Dacia Sandero is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of safety specialists at Euro NCAP and its latest video released, which is showing the Romanian hatchback being crash tested.
The new generation of the Dacia Sandero has improved compared to its predecessor and it has received a four-star safety rating during the latest crash tests. Euro NCAP has noted 80 percent in Adult Occupant protection, 79 percent in Child Occupant protection, 57 percent in Pedestrian Safety and 55 Percent in Safety Assist. The tested vehicle was a 1.2 liter base version. The model scored more than the previous generation but it falls behind the Clio, which received 5 stars. Maybe this is Renault’s new strategy, of keeping Dacia behind its own cars.
