The McLaren 12C Spider has been recently taken to its top speed, which was 346 km/h, by Sport Auto.
With the McLaren P1 out, everyone is busy trying to find out more about the hybrid supercar, but not Sport Auto, which has recently taken the McLaren 12C Spider for a quick spin, testing its top speed. The official top speed of the 12C Spider is 329 km/h (204 mph), but the Guys at Sport Auto have managed to reach 346 km/h (215 mph). The GPS read 343 km/h (213 mph), and this means that the McLaren 12C Spider actually has a 10 mph (16 km/h) higher top speed than the official numbers.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren 12C Spider is powered by the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine as the Coupe, which is generating 625 PS, mated to a seven-speed SSG dual clutch transmission, sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The McLaren 12C Spider can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and the quarter mile is done in 10.8 seconds. The average fuel consumption stands at 11.7 L / 100 km and the CO2 emissions stop at 270 g/km. The McLaren 12C Spider is a rear-mid engined supercar, which is rivaling the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster or the Ferrari 458 Spider.
