Former Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button, has recently went for a spin in the brand new McLaren P1, at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The British based automaker McLaren is placing the brand new P1 into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video. The new McLaren P1 will only be produced in 375 units, and each one will cost 1,025,545 euros (866 GBP / 1,340,740 USD), at the current exchange rates. The model is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, the same one used on the MP4-12C and 12C Spider, backed up by an electric motor, providing an extra 170 HP (132 kW) and 260 Nm of torque (192 lb-ft). The total output produced stands at 916 HP (674 kW) and 900 Nm of torque (663 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is over in 3 seconds and top speed has been limited to 350 km/h (217 mph). The McLaren P1 is rivaling the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
