The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently released a new video with the GT86, where its boss, Akio Toyoda, is drifting the impressive sports car.
The Toyota GT86 is probably one of the hottest cars to hit the market these past few years, considering what it has to offer for what value and despite the model is already available for order in several markets across the globe, the company is still promoting it. The latest video coming from the carmaker where the GT86 is playing the main role is finding Akio Toyota, the company’s CEO, behind the wheel, drifting the small sports car.
As a quick reminder, the Toyota GT 86 is powered by the same engine as the Subaru BRZ or the Scion FR-S, which is the 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol unit, borrowed by Subaru and fitted with the company’s D-4S direct injection. The petrol engine is developing a total output of 187 horsepower, at 7,000 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 205 Nm (151 lb-ft), available at 6,600 rpm. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual in standard, or to a six-speed automatic, which will be available as an option.
