The American brand has prepared a new short video depicting Jeep’s evolution, from the military Willys MA from 1941 to the 2016 Wrangler Unlimited 75th Anniversary Edition.
Jeep is eager to celebrate 75 years since it came to life, so the years is going to be full of festivities related to this important milestone. One of its self-made presents includes a short video that takes through time to witness the birth of some of its most crucial models. Of course it all started under the dark clouds of the WWII, with the 1941 Willys MA becoming the backbone of the US Army (and more) – and it’s all been uphill since for the legendary seven-slot grille brand. Aside from the Willys MA, one of the models talked about in the clip is the Wagoneer – scheduled to be resurrected alongside its bigger brother the Grand Wagoneer.
Of course, there are more than one Wranglers showcased here, building up to the 2016 model year 75th Anniversary Edition. We also know the new generation of the iconic vehicle is swiftly coming sometimes next year as a 2018 MY – complete with new powertrains (including an eight-speed auto and even a diesel for certain markets) and a lighter build. Until that happens, Jeep has scheduled the introduction of the Compass and Patriot successor, as well as the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, complete with the mind-boggling supercharged 6.2-liter V8.
