We’re just a few weeks away from the official unveiling of the all-new generation of the Bavarian midsize sedan and the company has decided to deliver some sneak peeks with the interior and exterior.
The rebirth of the BMW Films series is eagerly awaited on October 23 with the full release of “The Escape” short and because the titular character is seen driving the all-new 5 Series we have a pretty big bet lying around the model would be showed on the very same day or even a few hours before. The eagerly awaited G30 midsize executive sedan is the designated E Class and A6 competitor and BMW is looking to increase expectations by showing us glimpses of the still camouflaged-laden exterior and interior. We already know the design to go down the evolutionary road – and that’s unfortunately viable for both the exterior and interior.
The new 5 Series will be a tad longer, wider, and taller than the predecessor, increases relative space for the passengers in the cabin. BMW has already told us the model will be produced on the CLAR platform that also underpins the larger 7 Series so we know there will be some weight loss – of around 220 pounds (100 kilograms). Engine wise, the turbocharged four-, six-, and eight-cylinder units from the larger brethrens such as the 6 and 7 Series will be on offer, alongside the usual M5 high performance version.
