Probably one of the coolest and most renowned movie trilogies ever, the Back to the Future saga still has a huge fan base even though the latest installment was presented about 26 years ago.
And if you’re like us, a major fan of Marty and “Doc”, then you’ll thoroughly enjoy this Toyota pickup truck that looks snatched from the past. We have footage of a close inspection of the 1985 Toyota SR5 xtra cab that was used by Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) – and this unit is even more important for the aficionados because it’s the only surviving on-screen truck. The example was used during the second and third movies – the original from the 1985 BTTF was given away in a contest and the driver totaled it afterwards. Time Machine Restoration took hold of the last truck back in the summer of 2012 and wanted to restore it to its former glory.
But busy with a DeLorean restoration, they ultimately sold it to the Sheas – and now it comes in front of us looking exactly as it was snatched from the movie itself. The truck itself had a movie-like life – stolen and even used to haul drugs – but now has come to the right place and we can all enjoy it (on screen). If you’re enjoying this, then most likely you’ll also want to take a look at the rest of the videos embedded below, which depict the 1946 Ford Coupe, the 1976 BMW 633 CSI, and a replica of the DeLorean.
