The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe has just been introduced to the world and even before it hits the streets the eager fans will get a taste of its prowess – albeit in virtual form.
The German automaker has decided to give a heads up to the Microsoft Xbox One console and the new racing simulation game “Forza Motorsport 6,” offering the C 63 S Coupe as and exclusive download package. It also won’t be the only Mercedes to experience on legendary circuits such as the Nordschleife, Hockenheimring or Le Mans, because the brand has another 14 models in the game, from the Mercedes-AMG GT, to the gullwing models 300 SL and SLS AMG or the A Class in AMG livery. “Forza Motorsport 6” naturally uses lots of different cars and can have 24-player races across 26 world-famous venues – it also comes with interesting things such as wet-weather racing with physically-based 3D puddles and night racing.
As for the new C63 S Coupe, the “S” stands for the upgraded version of the twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter churning out 510 PS (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. That will deliver a muscular 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint lasting just 3.9 seconds and will top out at the electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The automaker also celebrates the downloadable C63 S Coupe with a new spot filmed on a deserted airfield which uses footage both from the racing game and the real world to have the “sports car and its digital twin seem inseparable.” The new Mobil 1 Car Pack for the game also includes other rarities: 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, 1990 Chevrolet #30 Douglas Shierson Racing Lola T90/00, 1963 Ferrari 250LM, 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV, 1991 Mazda #62 Mazda Motorsport RX-7, and the 1958 Plymouth Fury.
