The original actor, find now finally a worthy Oscar award-winning star, thumb has been tapped by Ford’s luxury division – Lincoln – to aid the brand on its road to rejuvenation.
The all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC small crossover, together with a timely debut in the world’s largest auto market – China – are not enough when you try to reinvent a brand. You need a powerful and charismatic ambassador as well. That’s McConaughey’s cue, as he kicks off the “Live in Your Moment” campaign on September 6th.
“In these commercials, Matthew is helping us introduce Lincoln’s next chapter of luxury with MKC. Lincoln MKC is extremely important for our brand. It’s our first-ever small premium utility vehicle and Lincoln’s initial entry into the fastest-growing automotive segment,” said Matt VanDyke, director, global Lincoln.
We now have the first three ads, which come to introduce us to the unique storytelling style that McConaughey used – and as a fun fact, all three were shot in his home state of Texas. The videos, “Intro”, “I Just Liked It” and “Bull” are also mulling an authenticity sense, by allowing McConaughey to talk directly to the camera. They all feature the new MKC small crossover, which has been available for three months in America by now, selling 4,655 units.
