The Japanese automaker has unveiled the finished Project Titan – a truck designed for a very interesting Alaskan adventure through crowd sourcing.
Thanks to overwhelming assistance from the Nissan Trucks US Facebook fan base the custom made Titan has finally been completed and is ready to take the Wounded Warrior Project Alumni on a once-in-a-lifetime trip in the Alaskan wilderness.
The Project Titan is based on a 2014 Titan Crew Cab PRO-4X, and the fan base had ten areas of customization to vote on. The exterior features a “Recon Titan” wrap with digital-camouflage styling, 18-inch Fuel Revolver D525 wheels equipped with 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires. There are also Bulldog LED Lighting illumination possibilities and the ARB Deluxe Bull Bar protects the front of the car. At the back sits an all-terrain trailer featuring a “camp-style kitchen,” a tent, a spare tire and water/fuel storage.
Interior changes are fairly limited, but the Titan features a different shifter and steering wheel, rugged Katzkin leather-wrapped seats and a Lowrance navigation system. The standard 5.6-liter V8 provides power but the engine is now protected by the NISMO cold-air intake and Borla cat-back exhaust system. Wounded Warrior Project Alumni David Guzman and Kevin McMahon, together with Iraqi war veterans will make the journey, documented along the way for a YouTube series to be released later this fall.
