The German automaker has decided that even the overly hyped E Class executive sedan could need more publicity and thus decided to first unveil the interior – and now we also have the first footage depicting the cabin.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E Class will officially be unveiled in front of the worldwide audience in January during the North American International Auto Show but fans can already dissect the interior – through the gallery previously released and now the new footage. The videos depict the interior which is high-tech, stylish and elegant yet also considerably familiar. We get to see the massive dual 12.3-inch display combo seen previously on the S Class flagship sedan – though you should remember the entry-level offering will not come with this setup. The latter base level offering will sport a more modest 7-inch color display instrument cluster mated to an 8.4-inch central display. If this is the case, the customer will be treated to the dials, instrument cluster and central screen being housed in a single assembly with a glossy piano lacquer finish.
By the way, the 2016 E Class was shown from the exterior as well – though it was just a bit of it – namely the all new optional adaptive MULTIBEAM LED headlights and optional taillights featuring a “stardust” effect due to the numerous small and irregular reflectors inside the lamp. The interior will feature every possible amenity and feature you can think off – from ambient lighting LEDs available in 64 hues to the optional Burmester 3D surround sound system with 23 speakers.
