Vilner Jeep grand Cherokee joins the SAS special forces image

Because the special forces of the world are usually deeply entrenched in covert operations, the customer who commissioned the special build has of course remained anonymous.

There are numerous cars customized to a specific theme – we even saw the Fiat 500 packing Star Wars themes on more than one occasion – but this one is particularly unique. Bulgarian aftermarket specialist Vilner has been asked to do a one of a kind project – they reworked a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT to a special forces theme. We’re dealing here with the British Special Air Service (SAS) – and as such the logo, as well as the force’s slogan ‘Who dares wins’, have been embroidered on the front seat headrests. It appears the identity of the customer is top secret – mainly because we think the logo was an unauthorized use…

Almost nothing from the Grand Cherokee’s original interior has been left untouched, with carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard, while all areas that have a hard plastic feel (bottom of the dash, transmission tunnel, A-pillars, seat bases, and even the seatbelt buckles) all trimmed in Alcantara. The ceiling has a red alcantara and a black “high quality material.” The mechanicals of the SUV seem to have been left untouched, so we’re dealing with the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 packing 475 horsepower (354 kilowatts) for a 60 mph acceleration in less than five seconds.
