Volkswagen has recently pulled the wraps off a special edition of the Amarok, named the Canyon, which will make its public debut in Hanover, Germany, at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show.
According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Amarok Canyon special edition has been previewed by a concept car at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March and the final production version is based on the Amarok Trendline, getting a roll bar, rocker guards, a black rear bumper, a cargo cover, tinted taillights and 17-inch alloy wheels, but as an option, the Canyon can get a roof-mounted light bar or the exclusive Copper Orange paint.
“Based on the Trendline specification, the special ‘Canyon’ model looks instantly different to the standard Amarok due to its unusual color: the four-door body glistening in ‘Copper Orange’ paintwork, available exclusively on this special edition”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
Two TDI diesel engines will be available for the Volkswagen Amarok Canyon special edition and they will be backed up permanently or on-demand all-wheel drive system. Interior image of the VW Amarok Canyon haven’t been released yet but the carmaker says that it has two-tone partial leather seats, matte chrome accents and more. More details on the Amarok Canyon will be announced next year, when it will go on sale.
