Volkswagen has recently unveiled the Amarok Power-Pickup over the weekend, during the 2013 Worthersee.
After showing us the VW Design Vision GTI, the German based automaker is placing yet one more concept car into the spotlights, the Amarok Power-Pickup. The model in question is based on the single-cab version and it’s rivaling the Ford Ranger, the Nissan Navara or the Toyota Hilux. The Amarok Power-Pickup is getting a full makeover and it’s dropping the 2.0L twin turbo diesel for a larger 3.0 liter V6 TDI, with 268 BHP and 600 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9s.
The Volkswagen Amarok Power-Pickup is coming with wider wheelarches, an 80mm lowered suspension system, xenon headlights, larger air intakes, carbon fiber diffuser, tinted taillights, 22-inch alloy wheels and more. The cabin of the model has been fitted with leather sports seats, an upgraded infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen and a 500-watt subwoofer, amongst others. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
