The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Amarok R-Style during the 2013 Worthersee.
The newest creation signed by Volkswagen to make its way to the 2013 Worthersee, besides the new Golf GTI Concept, is named the R-Style Concept and it’s based on the popular Amarok pickup. The model in question has pumped wheel arches, which flare out 60mm wider than the standard version. The vehicle is also getting carbon fiber front, side and rear skirts, LED headlights, LED taillights, unique front intake, rear diffuser, dual chrome exhaust system, sports seats, sports steering wheel, carbon fiber dashboard ad door panels, red accents headline and more.
The most interesting part of the Volkswagen Amarok R-Style Concept is found under its hood, where the 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel engine is resting. The unit is now producing a total output of 200 kW and it has a peak torque of 600 Nm. This is a significant increase compared to the standard 132 kW and 420 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is sending power to the all-wheel drive, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.
