Volkswagen announcing Kombi Last Edition to mark production end in Brazil image

Volkswagen has announced the Kombi Last Edition which is celebrating 56 years of producing the model in Brazil.

One of the most popular Volkswagen vehicles of all times, the Kombi, is getting ready to leave the production line for good. The model in question is currently being assembled in Brazil and to mark the production stop the carmaker is announcing a special edition. The “new” Volkswagen Kombi Last Edition will be produced in just 600 units and it will go on sale later on this month. The model will be finished in a special two-tone white and blue paint and it will be fitted with a numbered plaque, from 001 to 600 on the dashboard.

Special design features on the Volkswagen Kombi Last Edition will include design elements such as the tinted rear windows and the whitewall tires. The cabin will include special vinyl upholstery in order to match the exterior and a set of privacy curtains, along with iPod compatibility. Power to the Volkswagen Kombi Last Edition will be provided by a 1.3 liter petrol engine, which will produced 68 HP. No pricing details have been announced yet. The VW Kombi has been produced in more than 1,550,000 units in Brazil, in the Sao Bernardo do Campo plant.
