Volkswagen Beetle by ABT Sportsline unveiled image

ABT Sportsline has pulled the wraps off its latest aftermarket kit for the new Volkswagen Beetle, which is adding some interesting updates for the popular car.

This isn’t the first time when ABT is modifying the VW Beetle and back in 2012 the tuning company has offered some upgrades for the model. But these upgrades have now changed and the new aerodynamic kit includes features like the headlight and taillight covers, new suspension springs, which are lowering the ride height by 30 mm, and two-pipe exhaust system. Wheel sizes vary from 18- to 20-inch and they are wrapped in high performance tires and there is also a choice of three exterior paint colors.

Performance modifications are also available on the 2.0 TSI engine, and this is now good for 240 HP (176 kW) and 340 Nm of torque (251 lb-ft), compared to the standard 200 HP (147 kW) and 280 Nm of torque (206 lb-ft). The 1.4 TSI is good for 140 HP (103 kW) and 220 Nm of torque (162 lb-ft), from the stock 105 HP (77 kW) and 175 Nm of torque (129 lb-ft). Diesel lovers can get 170 HP (125 kW) and 370 Nm of torque (273 lb-ft) from the 2.0 TDI, while the 1.6 TDI is now good for 125 HP (92 kW) and 285 Nm of torque (210 lb-ft). No pricing details have been announced yet.
