ABT has officially introduced its new aftermarket package aimed towards the Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio, which is adding some pretty interesting items to the “bug”.
Changes made by the aftermarket package signed by ABT include the restyled front spoiler, the rear skirt set, the rear panel, the custom suspension springs, which can lower the front by 30 mm and the rear by 35 mm, the two-pipe rear muffler, the custom braking system or the 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels. This should be enough to help your ride stand out from a crowd but since we are talking about ABT, changes definitely haven’t stopped here.
The Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio has received a power boost too and in the 1.2 TSI version it can now produce 140 HP (103 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque from the standard 105 HP (77 kW) and 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) of torque, while the 1.4 TSI is up from 160 HP (118 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) to 210 HP (154 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft). The 2.0 TFSI has been also upgraded from 200 HP and 280 Nm to 240 HP (176 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft). This can also be tuned to 260 HP (191 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). The 1.6 TDI is now good for 125 HP and 285 Nm and the 2.0 TDI for 170 HP and 370 Nm.
