Volkswagen Beetle Convertible launched in Italy

The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced the arrival of the Beetle Convertible in Italy, where the model can now be bought from 23,800 euros.

Volkswagen says that the Beetle Cabrio is coming in five trim levels in Italy, the Beetle, the Design, the Exclusive Design, the Sport and the Sport Exclusive, along with three special versions, the 50s Edition, 60s Edition and 70s Edition. Besides choosing from these, future owners of the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible in Italy will also have to choose between 12 different colors and eleven finishes for the upholstery, including fabric and leather. Prices of the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible have been set at 23,800 euro in Italy.

As a quick reminder, the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been officially presented to the public a few months ago, during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The model is already available for order in several markets across the globe and over-seas, the drop-top Beetle can be ordered with a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine, generating 170 HP and 177 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, to a 2.0 TDI with 140 HP and 236 HP and with a 2.0 TSI with 200 HP and 207 lb-ft of torque.
