Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept gets new images image

A new photo gallery with the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept has been released by the German based automaker.

Originally unveiled back in 2013, during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the release of a new photo gallery. According to the German based automaker, the model in question might hit the production line as everything about it is feasible. This will become the sportiest Beetle ever if it will get a production version but this doesn’t have the most powerful engine VW has to offer.

The Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 210 HP (154 kW). The unit is connected to a 6-speed DSG transmission which sending power to the front-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is made in 7.3 seconds and top speed stands at 227 km/h (141 mph). This represents an evolution of the Beetle Dune Concept unveiled in 2000, with a similar rugged appearance, with black moldings, flared wheel arches and more.
