The new Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit, as the carmaker has recently announced.
Volkswagen’s newest creation when it comes to new vehicles is named the Beetle Dune Concept and the model in question will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, which will open its gates next week. The VW Beetle Dune Concept has a tougher and crossover like appearance with some plastic body cladding, a raised suspension system, large alloy wheels, and some other tweaks, which will help it stand out from a crowd.
According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept will get some bright yellow accents and the glove box in the passenger side will be replaced by a handle. As far as the engine goes, the model in question should get a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine under its hood, which will produce approximately 207 HP. The unit will be mated to a 6-speed dual clutch DSG transmission. More details on the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced in Detroit.
