Volkswagen might be offering a production version of the newly unveiled Beetle Dune Concept in the future, which should become highly popular with the model’s fans.
The announcement hasn’t been made official and according to the guys at Automobile Magazine, the model in question will probably hit the market in the nearby future. Our source is saying that this won’t just be a completely different version of the Beetle but, if it will indeed get the green light, it will become a very special edition of the model, which will receive some interesting updates to its exterior, to the cabin and even under its hood.
The Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept has been based on the Beetle R-Line and it’s coming with features like the increased ride height, aluminum rock panels, chrome plated skid plate, 19-inch aluminum wheels, two-piece wheel arch extensions, ventilated hood, gloss black trim, honeycomb mesh grille inserts, bi-xenon headlights, two rear spoilers, dual exhaust system and much more. The cabin of the model has received aluminum accents, two-tone sport seats, Arizona painted trim, a 7.7-inch touch screen infotainment system and much power. Power is coming from a 210 HP (156 kW) 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed DSG.
