Volkswagen has announced its plans to introduce the Beetle Fender Edition in the United Kingdom in January, 2013.
After it was launched in the United States last month, the Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition is now getting ready to tackle a new market in right-hand drive, the United Kingdom. According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition will be launched in the UK in January 2013, when the model will be available to its future customers starting from 23,015 GBP for the manual version, while for the DSG, an extra 1,595 GBP will have to be paid. The Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition will be available for order on the second of January.
The limited edition of the popular Volkswagen Beetle is coming in pearlescent black and it’s getting Fender badging, a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels. The model is also receiving a 400-wat audio system with a subwoofer, a two-zone climate control, a part-leather trim and bi-xenon headlights. Power to the Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition is being provided exclusively by the 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine, producing a total output of 138 BHP. The unit will be mated to a six-speed manual, in standard, or to a DSG, available as an option.
