Volkswagen has recently announced a series of updates for the Beetle and Beetle Convertible, for the 2015 model year, which will go on sale later on this year.
According to the car manufacturer, the updated VW Beetle has received the optional Discover Media navigation system, the Rear Traffic Alert system, the rearview camera, the Blind Spot monitor, the DSG transmission and several other tweaks to put some space between it and the current model. Three new interior color packages have been added too, the Reflex Silver, the Tornado Red and the Pure White.
The most important changes made to the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle, in its two body styles, can be found under its hood where there are five “new” engines which comply with the Euro 6 emissions standards and are more fuel efficient. VW didn’t go into specifics but we can find three petrol burners, with 105 HP (77 kW), 150 HP (110 kW) and 220 HP (162 kW) along with two diesels, the 110 HP (81 kW) and the 150 HP (110 kW). The updated version of the Volkswagen Beetle will go on sale later on this year from 17,825 EUR for the Coupe and 22,125 EUR for the Convertible, in Germany.
