Volkswagen has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation the Beetle GSR Limited Edition, during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the new VW Beetle GSR Limited Edition is coming with the R-Line front bumper, with the R-Line rear bumper, with a yellow / black theme which is continued in the cabin too, with black trimmed leather sport seats, red stitching on the steering wheel, R-Line dash pad, GSR shift lever, black floor mats, panoramic sunroof, a Fender Premium Audio System, bi-xenon headlights, ambient lighting, heated front seats, 19-inch Tornado alloy wheels and more.
Power to the Volkswagen Beetle GSR Limited Edition is being provided by an updated version of the EA888 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine, which is producing a total output of 210 HP (156 kW). VW says that this unit is also shared with the Jetta GLI and with the 2013 Beetle Turbo. In the Volkswagen Beetle GSR Limited Edition, the engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a dual clutch six-speed automatic transmission. The Volkswagen Beetle GSR Limited Edition will only be produced in 3,500 units and its starting price will be announced close to its launch.
