The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Caddy BlueMotion next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Besides creating models like the new Golf R, or working on the Golf Plus or the next Passat generation, Volkswagen is also developing a BlueMotion version of the Caddy. The model in question is coming with the regular features found on other BlueMotion vehicles and adding the frugal 1.6 liter diesel engine under its hood means a definite success amongst small business owners.
And speaking of engines, you should know that the 1.6 liter TDI diesel engine is producing a total output of 101 HP and it has a peak torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). The unit is also fitted with the stop start function and the brake energy recovery. The cassis has been lowered by 27 mm and the vehicle is sitting on low rolling resistance tires. The average fuel consumption stands at 4.5 liters / 100 km (62.7 mpg UK / 52.3 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 117 g/km. The model has a total driving range of 1,300 km (88 miles). Prices for the Caddy BlueMotion will start at 17,720 EUR in Germany.
