Coming in for nature lovers who like living in style and a tent is definitely not an option for them, a limited edition of the Berghaus California has just been unveiled by its automaker, Volkswagen.
According to the German car manufacturer, the California Berghaus Limited Edition can accommodate four people who can enjoy the fully-functioning integrated kitchen in the rear living space, coming with a gas-powered cooker, a fridge, fold-away table and chairs, along with an electrically operated pop-up roof.
Volkswagen says that its California Berghaus Limited Edition is powered by a 2.0 liter BiTDI engine, delivering 180 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which will do 36.2 mpg in an average cycle while emitting 205 g/km of CO2.
Even if it doesn’t sound too much, the California Berghaus Limited Edition can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph or 100 km/h in 12.4 seconds, being in the supercar segment for caravans.
Along with its metallic paint, bi-color 18 inch alloy wheels, bike rack and the Berghaus badging on the inside, the California is coming with safety devices like ABS, traction control (TCS), ESP and EBC (engine braking control), all of these for a price on the road of 47.995 British pounds, including VAT.
