The first design sketches with the upcoming Volkswagen CC Concept have been released onto the web as the model will be making its debut next Tuesday, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Ever since the new generation of the Volkswagen Passat has been introduced last year, the main question was regarding its four-door coupe version, the Passat CC but with the carmaker not letting rumors and reports ruin its work, it seems that such a model is close to hitting the production line than initially thought. The two design sketches posted below are official as they have been released by the German based automaker in order to announce the model’s debut for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, on the 3rd of March.
The brand new Volkswagen CC pictured below is nothing more than a simple concept at this time but it will be providing us with the first look into the production variant. This is following the same recipe as the current model, with the lowered roofline compared to the regular Passat. The model in question is expected to get the so-called “innovative four-wheel drive system”, which basically means that a turbocharged gasoline burner will be working together with two electric motors. Keep in mind that this one-off vehicle hasn’t confirmed its “CC” name but judging by its looks, it can only be that. The final production version of the CC is expected to be out sometimes in 2017. More details on it are limited at this time.
