The German based automaker Volkswagen is planning to develop a Shooting Brake version of the CC, which might hit the market over the next couple of years.
After Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the CLS Shooting Brake a year ago, Volkswagen couldn’t stay aside and watch its competitor steal new customers with one of the classiest estates ever produced and sources within the company are saying that the carmaker is planning to develop a CC Shooting Brake. The brand new Volkswagen CC Shooting Brake will be based on the versatile MQB platform and the model is rumored to make its way onto the market in early 2015.
The Volkswagen CC Shooting Brake should fill the gap between the Passat and the Phaeton and the model will use transversely mounted four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, along with a petrol-electric hybrid, which is also planned. The model in question will offer its future buyers the choice of front-wheel drive and 4Motion optional all-wheel drive. The CC Shooting Brake will get a luggage capacity of up to 570 liters. Additional details on the Volkswagen CC Shooting Brake are limited for the moment and will be announced close to the model’s debut.
