Volkswagen has recently unveiled the Cross Caddy which will go on sale at the beginning of next year with some interesting features.
After pulling the wraps off the Cross Polo, the Cross Golf or the Cross Touran, the German based automaker Volkswagen has decided to develop a Cross version of the Caddy too and this is actually based on the Caddy Edition 30 which came out last year. The Volkswagen Cross Caddy is bringing the usual components like any other Cross model made by VW, like the protective armor with plastic moldings for the side sills, for the wheel archers or for the bumpers.
The VW Cross Caddy is also getting rear silver undercarriage guards, side impact protection bars, a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, silver roof rails and a choice of eight exterior colors, including the Scirocco-borrowed Viper Green. The cabin of the Cross Caddy is offered with a height and length adjustable armrest, grey stitching for the handbrake lever and gear knob, leather trim, two tone front seats and more.
Power to the Cross Caddy is being provided by the same engine lineup of the regular version, which includes TDI, TSI, LPG and natural gas units, ranging between 85 HP and 168 HP. The Volkswagen 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, along with the DSG transmission, is also available for the model. The Cross Caddy is available with either five or seven seats.
