Volkswagen has introduced the Cross Polo to India recently where the model will set you back for at least Rs. 7.75 lakhs.
The Volkswagen Cross Polo is a regular Polo fitted with some plastic body cladding to make it look like a crossover which loves off-roading. The model in question is getting a new front bumper, a new rear bumper, sports chrome accented frille, smoked headlights, black side cladding, black moulded covers on the wheel arches, the Cross Polo decals on the rear doors, silver roof rails, silver wing mirrors and some other tweaks, which will help it differentiate from the regular Polo version.
Standard list found on the VW Cross Polo includes the ABS, two front airbags, air conditioning, four-speaker audio system, AUX, USB, Bluetooth, telescopic and tilt adjustable steering wheel, electric side mirrors, rear parking sensors, height adjustable driver’s seat, remote center locking, fog lights and more. Power to the VW Cross Polo is being provided by a 1.2 liter TDI diesel engine, producing a total output of 75 PS and 180 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Sales of the model will begin on the 23rd of August, 2013.
