Volkswagen will unveil the CrossBlue Coupe Concept during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, on the 20th of April.
The very first sketches of the Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe Concept have made their way onto the web, ahead of the model’s official debut scheduled for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The model is actually the Coupe version of the CrossBlue Concept unveiled back in January, during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, and it might give us a preview of the next generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan, but it might also become a model positioned between the Tiguan and the Touareg and even a rival for the upcoming BMW X4.
The Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe Concept is 4.80 meters long, 2.02 meters wide and it’s riding on a 2.98 meters long wheelbase. The model is powered by a V6 turbocharged direct injected gasoline engine, mated to two electric motors. The total output produced is 415 BHP (309 k), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 5.9 seconds. The CrossBlue Coupe Concept is burning an average of 3 liters of fuel every 100 km and it has a total range of 33 km (20.5 miles) in electric mode. More details on it will probably be announced in Shanghai, in a couple of days.
