Volkswagen has recently announced the launch of the new e-Golf in the United Kingdom, where the model in question will set you back for 30,845 GBP.
After being introduced in L.A., Frankfurt and Detroit, during the automotive events, the new Volkswagen e-Golf has been placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the model in question going on sale in the United Kingdom. According to the car manufacturer, future customers of the new “green” Golf will have to pay just 25,845 GBP for the car, thanks to the government’s electric car incentives. One of the model’s biggest rivals, the Vauxhall Ampera, is 3,000 GBP more expensive, coming in at 33,750 GBP.
The Volkswagen e-Golf has received some goodies such as the Discover Pro radio & navigation system, the leather wrapped steering wheel, heated windscreen, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, full LED headlights, automatic climate control, aero optimized wheels with low-rolling resistance tires and more. Power is provided by an electric motor, generating 115 HP (85 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 10.4 seconds and the estimated range stands at between 130 km and 190 km (81 and 118 miles). The 24.2 kWh battery has an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
