Volkswagen has officially announced the introduction of the e-Golf Limited Edition in the United States as this is basically the cheapest version of the e-Golf money can buy.

The cheaper e-Golf is coming with halogen headlights instead of the LEDs, it has 16-inch steel wheels, a cloth finish instead of some leatherette seating surfaces and the heat-pump system is missing.

The Volkswagen e-Golf Limited Edition is still getting features like the navigation system, electronic parking brake, automatic wipers and headlights, dual-zone climate control, keyless access with push-button start, rearview camera, DC Fast Charging, Park Distance Control and LED daytime running lights. Power to the model is being provided by an electric motor which is capable of delivering a total of 115 HP (85 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. This is allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 10.4 seconds, as the company is stating. The electric version of the Golf is returning 126 / 105 / 116 MPGe in city / highway / combined, according to EPA, and the maximum range of the car stands at 83 miles (134 km).
