Volkswagen has announced the official price list of the e-up! in the United Kingdom, where the model has been priced from 19, 250 GBP, including the 5,000 GBP government grant.
Originally introduced just a few months ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September, the new VW e-up! has been recently launched in the UK, where its future customers will have to pay 19,250 GBP, including the 5,000 GBP government grant, which means a significant increase compared to the 8,265 GBP price of the regular Take Up! and even more without the government grant, which will take its total price to a whopping 24,250 GBP.
The Volkswagen e-up! is based on the High up! and it has received features like the Maps and More navigation system, the cruise control, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, DAB digital radio, electronic climate control system, City Emergency Braking system, heated windscreen, 6-speaker sound system and much more. As far as its powertrain goes, the VW e-up! has received an electric motor generating 82 HP (60 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft) of torque, mated to an 18.7 kWh lithium ion battery. Total range stands at 160 km (100 miles) and charging it takes less than 9 hours from a 230-volt.
