The aftermarket specialists at ABT Sportsline have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, an upgrade package for the brand new Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD.
The new Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD is a very good compromise for those of you looking for some hot hatch performance in a C-segment car, but without the hot hatch fuel consumption. If you’ve made up your mind into getting the new VW Golf 7 GTD, you should know that you can now personalize it thanks to the guys at ABT Sportsline, who have created an upgrade package for the model.
According to the tuning company, the Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD in question is still powered by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel engine, but the total output has been raised from 184 HP (135 kW) to 210 HP (155 kW), along with the torque, which now stands at 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) from 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The model has been also fitted with larger 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels and with a four-tailpipe exhaust system. No performance figures have been released yet but the standard car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).
