The new generation of the Volkswagen Golf 7 has recently leaked just a few hours ahead of its debut in what seem to be a few official images.
The 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 is being placed into the spotlights once more ahead of its official debut today (4th of September, 2012) in Berlin, and after it was spied a few times and even teased by the German based automaker, the new generation of the popular hatch has just leaked in what seem to be a few official images. These photos were published by Auto Zeitung and we don’t know where they’re coming from.
As a quick reminder, the 2013 VW Golf 7 will ride on the new MQB modular platform, the same one which made its debut on the new Audi A3, and also the same one which will underpin future models made by Volkswagen and its sub brands. The new Golf will also grow in size and it will be 100 kg lighter than the current one, which will help lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The 2013 VW Golf 7 will be brought to the 2012 Paris Motor Show at the end of this month, where more details on it are expected to be announced.
