Volkswagen Golf 7 Variant – official images released

Volkswagen has recently released the first official images with the Golf 7 Variant, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, on the 5th of March.

The new generation of the Volkswagen Golf is ending up in our news once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing the very first official images with the Variant, ahead of its public debut on the 5th of March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The images posted below are showing a design similar to the one found on the hatchback, including in the rear end, so spotting it on the road won’t make you wonder what car this is.

The Volkswagen Golf 7 Variant pictured below is a BlueMotion version, which is coming with a TSI engine, with silver roof rails and with new alloy wheels. Under the hood, the rest of the lineup is expected to borrow the same engine lineup from the hatchback, and this will include the 1.2 liter TSI with its 85 HP (63 kW) or 105 HP (77 kW), the 1.4 TSI with 122 HP (90 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW), the 1.6 TDI with 105 HP (77 kW) and the 2.0 TDI with 150 HP, amongst others. Additional details on the Golf 7 Variant will be announced during the Swiss automotive event.
