Volkswagen Golf CC rendered again image

New renderings with the Volkswagen Golf CC have hit the web once again and they might provide us with a first look into the final production version of the model.

Rumors on the German based automaker Volkswagen working on a CC version of the Golf have been around before the new generation of the Golf 7 has been unveiled and the model is still expected to hit the market. The two images posted below have been provided by paultan.org and they are showing the new VW Golf 7 CC, a future rival made by the company for the Mercedes-Benz CLA or for the new Audi A3 sedan (how weird is that?).

Just like the hatchback, the new Volkswagen Golf CC will ride on the same MQB modular platform, the same one underpinning the regular Golf and other models made by the VW Group, like the new Seat Leon or the new Audi A3. The engine lineup will also be borrowed from the regular version of the Golf and an R high performance variant might be in the books too, which will probably take on the CLA45 AMG. Additional details on the Volkswagen Golf CC are limited for the moment and will be announced over the following years.
