The Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance has been recently launched in Australia, where the model is now available to order from 48, 490 AUD.
The new VW Golf GTI Performance has gained larger brakes, 340×33 mm at the front and 310×22 mm at the rear, a mechanical front differential lock, front brake calipers with the GTI badges, larger 19-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, some Alcantara upholstery inserts and much more, which will help it differentiate from the regular GTI.
Volkswagen says that the Golf GTI Performance is weighing 40 kg more than the GTI DSG, but the Performance version is 0.1 seconds faster in the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, which is made in 6.4 seconds. The average fuel consumption in this model stands at 6.6 liters every 100 km, on a combined cycle. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance is powered by an uprated version of the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder direct injected petrol engine, from the regular GTI, which is now producing 169 kW and 350 Nm of torque. Prices for the VW Golf GTI Performance have been set at 48,490 AUD in Australia and the model is already available for order.
