Volkswagen Golf R Concept to be unveiled on February 11 image

The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to unveil the concept version of the new Golf R on the 11th of February.

After teasing the brand new Volkswagen Golf R Concept for the first time just a few hours ago, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the car manufacturer announcing its plans to pull the wraps off the vehicle on the 11th of February. This means that by the time the brand new VW Golf R Concept will be presented to the public in Geneva in a couple of months, everyone will know what the model will look like.

If the final production version of the VW Golf R Concept is what you’re into, you should know that this vehicle will be unveiled during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The hot hatch is expected to hit the market in late 2013 or even early 2014, which probably means that it will come as a 2015 model year. Rumors are saying that the Golf R Concept will use a 290 HP 2.0 liter TFSI, mated to a six-speed manual or a double clutch DSG. More details on the model will be announced during its unveil.
