The new generation of the Volkswagen Golf R is getting ready to receive yet another body style, an estate in this case, as the model in question has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested.
The German based automaker Volkswagen will soon expand the new Golf R lineup with a new body style, an estate, which has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers. The model in question was not wearing any camouflage on its body so what you see is probably what you get because Volkswagen will most likely keep this design if it will indeed get the green lights for production.
When speaking to a test driver, our spy photographer learned that the car manufacturer hasn’t yet decided on whether to put this into production or not, so its faith is in the grey zone for the moment. If It will indeed get the green lights for production, than the new Golf R Estate will get the same exterior design as its hatchback brother, except for the rear end, the same interior design and the same turbocharged 2.0 liter TSI four-cylinder engine under its hood, which is rated at 300 HP. More details on the Golf R Estate are limited for the moment.
