The brand new range topper Volkswagen Golf R has been recently upgraded by the aftermarket specialists from ABT Sportsline.
Hot hatch enthusiasts and owners of the new generation of the Volkswagen Golf R will be glad to find out that the model in question has been recently tuned by the guys from ABT Sportsline. According to the tuning company, the model in question can now be ordered with a revised front grille, with aerodynamic side skirts, with ABT branded floor mats, with an adjustable suspension system, with 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels in size and several other tweaks.
The Volkswagen Golf R modified by ABT Sportsline is still taking its power from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which has been equipped with the ABT Power S control unit and with the sport-type catalytic converter. The unit can now produce an extra 100 HP (73 kW) and 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) of torque more than the standard one, to a total of 400 HP (294 kW) and 480 Nm of torque. The model in question can reach a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). ABT did not release any extra details on the model in question.
