The first rendering with the so-called Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan GTI has recently hit the web and it might be offering us a glimpse into a future production version of the model.
Originally unveiled just a couple of weeks ago, the brand new Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a rendering, posted by Theophilus Chin. The image seen above is showing what the MPV may look like in a GTI guise but don’t act too surprised if you will see it eventually in a dealership next to you, in the nearby future.
The Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan is the replacement of the Golf Plus and it’s riding on the MQB platform, being designed to offer a lot of space in the cabin and a low fuel consumption. The model is coming with a new infotainment system, with front impact collision prevention, blind spot monitor, lane keeping assist and more. As far as the engine lineup goes, this includes six units, all of them supercharged. Petrol ones (TSI) are producing between 85 HP and 150 HP and the two diesels (TDI) are developing 110 HP and 150 HP. All units can be had with the DSG automatic, except for the TSI 85.
